History of Czech Tramping

Reflection of the topic is based on collections of tramping songs, flags, medals and other artifacts as well as factographic information on exhibition panels.

The exhibition offers insight into the specific Czech subculture called tramping, which started at the beginning of the 20th century as a movement of young people inspired by woodcraft, returning to nature and the romantic idea of the Wild West. The movement has created their own rules, music and lifestyle, which influenced Czech popular culture, including music.

At the exhibition you can learn about history of tramping in general as well as tramping in the Blansko region. You can see collections of tramping songs, flags, medals and other artifacts and learn details about the specific tramping way of life.

Official opening, including a guitar performance, will be held in the multimedia room on March 12, 2020, at 6 PM.
